A culture and peace advocate has urged the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to investigate the alleged connection between First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and Maynard Ngu, the tech billionaire behind Cherry Mobile, who has recently been linked by some sectors to the widening flood control controversy.
On Tuesday, advocate John Santander personally went to the ICI headquarters to submit his letter addressed to ICI Chair Andres Reyes.
According to Santander, ICI Executive Director Brian Keith Hosaka officially received his letter, which calls on the commission to look into the supposed relationship between Marcos and Ngu.
In an interview with reporters after filing his letter, Santander presented two photos that appeared to show the First Lady and Ngu together.
“We are not pro-Marcos. We are not DDS (pro-Duterte), and we are not Kakampink. This is our own perspective as a part or as individuals living in our country,” he said.
