Defense Secretary Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro remains unfazed by the possibility of being included in China’s travel blacklist, following the recent sanctions imposed by Beijing on former Senator Francis Tolentino due to his strong stance on the West Philippine Sea.
In an interview, Teodoro expressed indifference, saying, “Wala naman akong pakialam (kung) gawin nila sa akin ‘yun.”
The Department of National Defense chief emphasized that the Marcos administration remains committed to reinforcing the Philippines’ sovereign rights over the West Philippine Sea, despite growing tensions with China.
The Chinese government recently barred Tolentino from entering mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, accusing him of harboring “anti-China” sentiments over maritime disputes.
