The Department of Education (DepEd) announced on Saturday, December 20 that it will begin releasing year-end incentives to around one million DepEd personnel nationwide, in line with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive.
In a press release, DepEd said the incentive package includes the Service Recognition Incentive (SRI), Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI), Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive for eligible personnel, and gratuity pay for contract-based workers.
“In total, the incentive package covers around 1 million DepEd employees nationwide, with teachers and non-teaching personnel receiving ₱20,000 SRI and ₱5,000 PEI, non-teaching staff set to receive an additional ₱10,000 CNA incentive, and contract of service and job order workers getting up to ₱7,000 in gratuity pay, depending on length of service,” the department said.
The SRI will be released in tranches, with an initial payout this December ranging from ₱10,000 to ₱14,500 per eligible employee. The remaining balance will be given “after the approval of the request for modification of allotments,” DepEd added.
Eligible recipients include personnel with regular, contractual, and co-terminus appointments across all DepEd offices nationwide.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa mga guro at kawani ng DepEd na patuloy na nagpapatakbo ng ating sistema ng edukasyon,” Education Secretary Sonny Angara said.
“Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit malaki ang budget ng edukasyon, at tungkulin naming tiyakin na ito ay nagreresulta sa benepisyo at serbisyong karapat-dapat sa inyo,” he added.
The PEI will be granted to qualified personnel in accordance with Executive Order No. 201, while Contract of Service and Job Order workers will receive gratuity pay ranging from ₱4,000 to ₱7,000, to be released by DepEd central and regional offices.
Meanwhile, the ₱10,000 CNA incentive for eligible non-teaching personnel will be released in January 2026, DepEd said.
