The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is processing an application for an Interpol red notice against former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said the request has already been filed and may be issued soon.
“Si Zaldy Co, nag-apply na kami ng red notice (sa Interpol). I think we should get the red notice anytime this week or next week,” Remulla said in an interview on Tuesday.
Remulla also disclosed that Co is currently in Portugal and is facing charges linked to an allegedly anomalous flood control project in Oriental Mindoro.
According to the Interpol, a red notice is a request to law enforcement agencies worldwide to locate and provisionally arrest a person pending extradition or other legal action.
