A Supreme Court petition revealed that former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co, who is currently wanted, was in Stockholm, Sweden on January 15.
Documents included a Notarial Certification signed by Notary Public Beatrice Gustafsson, confirming Co’s personal appearance.
“I, the undersigned, Beatrice Gustafsson, appointed Notary Public by the Stockholm County Administrative Board, hereby certify that Elizaldy Co… has appeared before me today,” the certification stated.
“I certify that I was able to verify the identity of the client, and that the signature was performed by the client of their own free will,” it added.
The certification contradicts Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla’s earlier claim that Co was spotted in an exclusive area in Lisbon, Portugal.
