DOJ OFFERS ₱1-M REWARD FOR INFORMATION ON FUGITIVE CASSANDRA ONG

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is offering a ₱1-million reward for any “credible” and “actionable” information that will lead to the arrest of fugitive Cassandra Ong, Acting Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida announced on Tuesday, November 25.

“Ang [DOJ] formally announcing… ₱1 million reward for credible, actionable information that will directly lead to the lawful discovery, location and subsequent arrest by authorized law enforcement agent of Cassandra Li Ong, who is presently the subject of ongoing criminal proceedings before the Regional Trial Court of Pasig City,” Vida said.

He emphasized that the department has allocated funds specifically to ensure Ong is brought before the court.

Vida noted that Ong has previously been able to move in and out of the country undetected.

Ong—linked to illegal POGO operations—has long evaded arrest, according to Senator Win Gatchalian. Her passport, along with those of former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque and several Technology Resource Center executives, was cancelled by the Pasig City Regional Trial Court on November 24.
