DOLE REPORTS 98% LABOR CASE DISPOSITION, ₱8.34B AWARDS

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reported a 98.07% disposition rate in labor cases for 2025, benefiting over 109,000 workers and yielding ₱8.34 billion in monetary awards.

Through conciliation and mediation under the Single Entry Approach (SEnA), 82.55% of disputes were settled amicably, ensuring workplace conflicts were resolved without disrupting livelihoods or business operations.

Preventive mediation, voluntary arbitration, and strike-management mechanisms also contributed to industrial peace.

The National Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (NTIPC) processed key labor policy issuances, including Department Order No. 251-25 on strengthening the prohibition against discrimination against women, Department Order No. 253-25 on welfare facilities for construction workers, and Department Order No. 252-25 revising occupational safety and health standards.

DOLE also inspected 33,007 establishments covering 3.7 million workers and conducted 168,100 advisory visits, resulting in high compliance rates—94.53% for general labor standards and 90.06% for occupational safety and health.

To address vulnerabilities during calamities, the agency issued Labor Advisory No. 15, series of 2025, reinforcing employers’ responsibility to uphold labor standards even in emergencies. Additionally, 541 OSH trainings were conducted, reaching nearly 22,000 workers nationwide.
