DPWH: NEW NAMES EMERGE IN FLOOD-CONTROL PROJECT ANOMALY PROBE

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has released initial findings from its ongoing investigation into the anomalous flood-control projects, revealing that new names have surfaced among those allegedly involved.

In an interview with True FM on Wednesday, October 15, DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed that the scope of the investigation has widened significantly.

He added that the public will soon learn about the new individuals and contractors implicated in the case once the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) files its next set of charges.

Dizon clarified, however, that the DPWH is still monitoring previously identified personalities linked to the alleged irregularities — including the Discaya contractors, who have been consistently mentioned in the probe.

The DPWH earlier detailed its plan to hold accountable the contractors involved in the flood-control anomalies — a move that could result in billions of pesos in penalties and reimbursements to the government once the investigation concludes.
