DUTERTE SIBLINGS CAST DOUBT ON MARCOS JR.’S FLOOD CONTROL PROBE

Vice President Sara Duterte and Davao City Acting Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte have cast doubt on President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s sincerity in investigating the controversial multi-billion-peso flood control projects.

Speaking from The Hague, Netherlands, where their father former President Rodrigo Duterte is detained, VP Sara blasted Malacañang’s moves as nothing more than a show.

She stressed that corruption in government goes beyond flood control projects, challenging Marcos Jr. to take on anomalies across all agencies.

Mayor Baste Duterte echoed his sister’s criticism, likening the Palace’s moves to a “cooking show” and dismissing it as a publicity stunt.

“We are being diverted to the congressmen — cooking show — but who is really responsible? Who signed the budget? Who implements it? It’s the DPWH. That is under the president,” he said.

Malacañang quickly fired back, telling the Duterte siblings to simply wait and see how the government acts on the issue.

“Manood na lamang po sila,” Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro retorted.
