The 40th anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution will be commemorated with an anti-corruption concert on February 21 at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
Dubbed “Awit at Aksyon Kontra Korapsyon,” the event is organized by Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG) and Kaya Natin!. Activities will begin with a pre-show program at 4 p.m., followed by the main concert at 6 p.m.
A lineup of prominent performers is set to take the stage, including Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs, Rivermaya, Ice Seguerra, Ebe Dancel, Elmo Magalona, Arkin Magalona, Over October, Pio Balbuena, Morobeats, and Chelsea Alley.
Stand-up comedians Alex Calleja and Red Ollero will also perform, alongside actresses Iza Calzado and Bea Binene. DJ Jhai Ho will join as a special guest.
Mamamayang Liberal Party-list Representative Leila de Lima, shared details of the gathering on social media, underscoring its significance.
“Through music and shared purpose, we celebrate the spirit of People Power and reaffirm the values that continue to guide and strengthen our democracy,” she said. “Ang laban ng EDSA para sa demokrasya at kontra korapsyon ay laban ng lahat ng henerasyon.”
