EX-QUEZON CITY LAWMAKER READY TO TESTIFY ON FLOOD CONTROL SCAM — REMULLA

A former congressman from Quezon City is reportedly ready to come forward and reveal everything he knows about the alleged irregularities surrounding flood control projects, Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla confirmed on Wednesday, October 22.

Remulla did not disclose the identity of the former lawmaker, who is said to be prepared to testify and name those involved in the flood control scam. He also declined to specify which district of Quezon City the ex-congressman once represented.

According to the Ombudsman, he received a call early Wednesday morning from a close friend who acted as an intermediary between him and the former legislator.

“Nakatanggap rin ako ng tawag, very early in the morning, isang kaibigan ko, parang siyang go-between sa isang congressman from Quezon City who wants to tell all,” said Remulla during a press conference.

“Sasabihin niya iyong involvement niya sa lahat na nangyayari, at saka kung paano nangyayari lahat ‘yan,” he added.

Remulla noted that while he does not plan to name the former congressman for now, the individual had already been mentioned by Sarah and Curlee Discaya, who were also tagged in the alleged flood control project anomalies.
