FIVE NEW DPWH UNDERSECRETARIES TAKE OATH AMID REFORM PUSH

Five new officials have officially joined the leadership of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) after taking their oath before Secretary Vivencio “Vince” Dizon on Monday.

The appointees are:

  • Arrey Perez – Undersecretary for Operations, overseeing Convergence Projects and Technical Services
  • Arthur Bisnar – Undersecretary for Regional Operations
  • Charles Calima Jr. – Undersecretary for Special Concerns
  • Samuel Rufino Turgano – Undersecretary for Legal Services
  • Ricardo Bernabe III – Undersecretary for the Office of the Secretary

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. approved their appointments as part of the administration’s continuing efforts to reform the DPWH.

The move comes after the President tasked Secretary Dizon to purge the agency of anomalies, particularly those linked to the alleged irregularities in flood control projects.

Individuals implicated in the controversy reportedly range from former Cabinet officials to undersecretaries, regional directors, and even rank-and-file employees.
