Senate Deputy Majority Leader Risa Hontiveros has made public her Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) for the year 2024, reaffirming her advocacy for transparency and accountability among public officials.
In her Facebook post on Monday, October 20, Hontiveros uploaded a copy of the document, emphasizing that disclosing such information is an important step toward restoring public trust in government.

The senator has long expressed support for lifting restrictions on the public disclosure of SALNs, especially for elected officials.
“Ngayong mainit ang galit ng publiko dahil sa nakakalulang korupsiyon sa gobyerno, magandang hakbang ang pagbubukas ng SALNs sa pagpapalakas ng transparency at accountability na hinahanap ng lahat,” Hontiveros said.
Her statement comes amid growing calls for openness in light of ongoing corruption scandals involving several government agencies.
Malacañang previously assured the public that members of the executive branch—including the President—will comply should the Office of the Ombudsman order the release of their respective SALNs.
This follows a recent memorandum circular issued by newly appointed Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla, which revokes earlier policies restricting public access to the SALNs of government officials.
