HOSAKA SWORN IN AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF ICI

Brian Keith Hosaka, former Assistant Court Administrator and Supreme Court (SC) spokesperson, officially assumed his post as executive director of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) on Thursday.

Hosaka took his oath before SC Associate Justice Jose Midas Marquez, following his appointment by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to lead the commission tasked with probing alleged corruption and irregularities in government flood control and related infrastructure projects.

The ICI announced that all official communications will be released exclusively through its chairman, retired Justice Andres Reyes, and Hosaka, who will also act as the commission’s spokesperson.

Before joining ICI, Hosaka served as a commissioner at the Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG), where he spearheaded reforms to enhance efficiency and accountability in government-owned and controlled corporations.

Among his notable achievements, Hosaka oversaw the technical team that developed the recently approved Restructuring Plan for the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), a critical effort to strengthen governance and restore public trust in the state-run institution.
