HOUSE ETHICS PANEL SEEKS ANOTHER 60-DAY SUSPENSION VS BARZAGA

The House Committee on Ethics and Privileges has recommended another 60-day suspension against Cavite 4th District Representative Kiko Barzaga.
According to the ethics panel, the recommendation stemmed from Barzaga’s alleged violation of the terms of his initial 60-day suspension.

Barzaga was first suspended on December 1, 2025, over social media posts deemed inappropriate for a sitting lawmaker.

However, while serving the suspension, Barzaga again posted claims alleging that business tycoon Enrique Razon bribed several members of the National Unity Party (NUP) to support the speakership of former House Speaker and Leyte 1st District Representative Martin Romualdez.

Following these allegations, several NUP members, along with Razon, filed court cases against Barzaga.
