The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has transmitted the statements of contributions and expenditures (SOCEs) of seven individuals who ran for the Senate in the May 2022 elections to the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI).
COMELEC Chairperson George Erwin Garcia confirmed the request was made by the ICI and immediately forwarded to the Political Finance and Affairs Department (PFAD).
“Kaagad natin itong ipadala sa PFAD for the office to immediately communicate and give these documents to the ICI,” Garcia told reporters.
He added, “Ang gusto natin the COMELEC will be fully supportive of the ICI since these are all public documents.”
Garcia said the documents were transmitted to the investigating body last week.
The ICI was created in September 2025 through Executive Order 94 issued by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as a non-partisan fact-finding body tasked to investigate irregularities in flood control and infrastructure projects over the past decade.
