Senator Imee Marcos has publicly asked forgiveness from Vice President Sara Duterte as part of her Holy Week content series themed “Pagsisisi” (Repentance).
In her latest Facebook post on Tuesday, March 31, Marcos admitted she felt guilty for having put VP Sara in “harm’s way.”
She added:
This was the second installment of her Holy Week reflections, following a preview she launched on March 28.
Marcos did not elaborate on the specific reasons behind her apology, but her remarks appeared to allude to her role in the formation of the UniTeam tandem between Duterte and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the 2022 elections—a partnership that delivered a landslide victory but has since fractured less than halfway into their term.
