LACSON HINTS AT ‘BIG NAMES’ IN UPCOMING SENATE FLOOD CONTROL PROBE

Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson has issued a new statement regarding the upcoming hearing of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on the alleged irregularities in flood control projects—should he officially return as the panel’s chairperson.

In a television interview on Tuesday, October 28, Lacson revealed that the probe will take a deeper and broader direction this time, hinting at a “key witness” who could shed new light on the controversy.

“Medyo malawak-lawak na hindi lumalabas sa mga naunang hearing,” said Lacson.

The senator added that the committee is preparing to summon new—and reportedly prominent—individuals linked to the questionable projects.

“May ilalabas na mga bagong pangalan at saka medyo malaking pangalan,” he stated.

While Lacson refrained from identifying the personalities involved, he assured that the public would find out once the scheduled hearing takes place on November 14.

“Let’s limit at that kasi kapag nasa harap na namin ‘yon, maririnig na nating lahat ‘yon, e. We only have to wait until November 14. Maririnig natin ‘yan kung sakaling haharap siya doon,” he concluded.

It will be recalled that Lacson had earlier hinted at the Senate’s plan to resume its investigation into the alleged flood control anomalies, as mentioned in his X post dated October 25.
