It seems that Senate Blue Ribbon Committee Chairman and Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson may have been alluding to certain personalities in his recent post on social media, where he mentioned a “crazy cat” and an “annoying dog.”
In a post shared on his X account on Thursday, October 2, 2025, the senator jokingly asked if there was a veterinary clinic with a psychiatric ward for animals.
“Help! Is there a veterinary clinic with an animal psychiatric ward?” Lacson began his post.
He went on to say, “We have a crazy cat that keeps meowing on the ground floor and an annoying dog that keeps barking on the upper floor.”
Although Lacson did not directly name anyone, netizens quickly speculated that his remarks were directed at Cavite 4th District Representative Kiko Barzaga and Senate Deputy Minority Leader Rodante Marcoleta.
It may be recalled that Barzaga previously shared a photo of Lacson with controversial contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya, while Marcoleta has repeatedly clashed with Lacson during Blue Ribbon Committee hearings, often acting like a “lawyer” for the Discaya couple.
