LAPID STANDS BY SOTTO, URGES LACSON TO STAY IN BLUE RIBBON COMMITTEE

Senator Lito Lapid expressed satisfaction with the leadership of Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III during a media interview on Tuesday, October 7.

When asked about his reaction to Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo “Ping” Lacson’s resignation as chairman of the Senate Committee on Accountability, Public Officers and Investigations (Blue Ribbon), Lapid urged him to stay.

“Dapat mag-stay put siya kasi siyempre, kayang-kaya naman niya ‘yan eh, ewan ko baka may sakit lang kasi kanina hindi nakapag-preside eh,” he said.

Lapid emphasized the importance of Lacson’s role in the committee, citing his background as a former police official.
