Malacañang Palace has rejected former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque’s claim that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is seeking reconciliation with Vice President Sara Duterte, calling the allegation false.
Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro dismissed the assertion outright.
“Kasinungalingan na naman!” she said.
“Dapat ang iniisip nila ngayon ay serbisyo muna bago pamumulitika,” she added.Roque, citing a “confidential source,” alleged that Marcos wanted to reconcile with Duterte, who reportedly declined, saying: “The train has left. Wala nang balikan ‘yan.”
Castro called the remarks baseless gossip.
“Mabilis maniwala sa mga ‘kwentong beauty parlor’ ni Harry Roque na palagi namang source ng fake news,” she said, criticizing both Roque and Duterte.
She further accused the Vice President of showing her “true colors” by rejecting reconciliation.
“Hindi na nga nakakatulong, naninira pa,” Castro remarked.
The Palace emphasized that the President remains focused on governance rather than political maneuvering.
“Ang Pangulo ay busy sa pagserbisyo sa bayan, hindi tulad ng iba na nangangampanya na ngayon pa lang,” Castro said.
