MALACAÑANG REAFFIRMS PARTNERSHIP WITH BUSINESS SECTOR

Malacañang has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with the business sector, assuring industry leaders that the administration of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. remains open to close and sustained collaboration.

Executive Secretary Ralph Recto delivered the assurance during the recent induction ceremony of the new board of directors and officers of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), emphasizing that the private sector “will always have a seat at the table” under the current administration.

In his remarks, Recto underscored the vital role of the business community in driving economic progress, noting that the government views private enterprises as key partners in pushing forward reforms and sustaining investment-led growth.

Drawing on his previous experience as finance secretary, Recto recalled his long-standing partnership with the PCCI in advancing fiscal reforms and championing policies designed to create a more competitive investment climate.

He stressed that this collaborative approach continues in his current capacity as executive secretary, with the administration actively engaging stakeholders to craft responsive and growth-oriented policies.

Recto also highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to simplify procedures across agencies, reduce bureaucratic bottlenecks, and create a more business-friendly environment.

These initiatives, he said, are aimed at generating employment opportunities and attracting more local and foreign investments to sustain the country’s economic momentum.

Malacañang maintained that by fostering stronger cooperation between the public and private sectors, the administration seeks to build a more resilient and inclusive economy in the years ahead.
