MALACAÑANG URGES PROPER INVESTIGATION, NOT POLITICIZATION OF ALLEGATIONS

Malacañang on Tuesday, December 16, stressed that evidence against public servants should be investigated, but not used for political purposes, following allegations by Ramil Madriaga against Vice President Sara Duterte.

At a press briefing, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said all claims involving misuse of public funds must be examined.

Madriaga, who described himself as VP Sara’s former employee, alleged that drug syndicates and POGO operations funded her Inday Sara Duterte is My President (ISIP) Pilipinas campaign and other groups.

He claimed to have worked with Colonel Dennis Nolasco and Colonel Raymund Lachica in transporting cash and securing VIPs from July 2022 to April 2023, detailing instances of delivering millions and even a billion in cash.

Former OVP spokesperson Reynold Munsayac and Lachica denied the allegations. Munsayac called the story “preposterous” and from a “polluted source,” while Lachica said he has always followed lawful orders and established protocols.
