MARCOS DISTANCES SELF FROM VP SARA IMPEACHMENT CASES

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday distanced himself from the new impeachment complaints filed against Vice President Sara Duterte, stressing that the matter is solely within the jurisdiction of the House of Representatives.

In an ambush interview, Marcos declined to comment on the issue.

“Hindi ko trabaho ‘yan. Trabaho iyan ng House, pabayaan mo sila magtrabaho,” he said.

The President added that he trusts lawmakers to properly carry out their duties in handling the complaints.

On the same day, the House Secretary General transmitted two impeachment complaints against Vice President Duterte to the office of Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III, formally initiating the process within the chamber.
