MARCOS HOLDS KEY MEETINGS ON DYNASTY BILL, CORPORATE ACCOUNTABILITY

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. convened a series of high-level meetings on Tuesday to address politically and economically sensitive issues, including political dynasties, corporate accountability, and financial stability.

Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said the President began his day with Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, setting the tone for a packed Malacañang schedule.

One of the most contentious topics was the proposed anti-political dynasty bill, a constitutional measure that has long stalled in Congress.

Marcos also received briefings on the Citizen Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability (CADENA) bill, aimed at tightening corporate accountability and disclosure rules, and on matters involving the Philippine Reclamation Authority, often at the center of development and environmental debates.

Both the anti-dynasty and CADENA bills are listed among the administration’s legislative priorities.

The day’s agenda concluded with a meeting on the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, highlighting the Palace’s focus on monetary stability and economic governance amid global uncertainty.
