PHILIPPINES CLOSE TO ACHIEVING UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE — MARCOS JR.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. proudly declared that the Philippines is close to achieving universal health care for all Filipinos.

During his visit to the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center in Balanga, Bataan, Marcos said that more patients are now going to hospitals—unlike before, when many hesitated due to the burden of medical expenses.

He emphasized that strengthening the economy is key to meeting every Filipino’s health care needs.

“Malapit na tayo umabot talaga sa Universal Health Care, we are now 80% of the way, kulang na lang, kaunti na lang at matutupad na natin ‘yung Universal Health Care,” Marcos said.

The President also praised the hospital’s strict implementation of the “zero balance billing” policy, saying it should be adopted nationwide.

“Pag malapit na ma-discharge yung pasyente eh hinahatid sa kanila yung kanilang zero billing at, another added convenience which I think we should adopt all around the country,” he added.
