MARCOS RETURNS FROM 3-DAY STATE VISIT TO CAMBODIA WITH 5 NEW BUSINESS DEALS

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has returned to the Philippines after a three-day state visit to Cambodia. He arrived on Tuesday, September 9, a little past 2:00PM, accompanied by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos.

According to the President, his discussions in Phnom Penh focused on strengthening trade and regional ties among member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Marcos announced that five business agreements were signed during the trip, aimed at boosting the aviation industry as well as supporting women-led Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The President also expressed optimism about deeper cooperation between the Philippines and Cambodia in higher education, while stressing the importance of forging stronger agreements on the protection of migrant workers.

During his meeting with the Filipino community in Cambodia, Marcos revealed plans to establish a Migrant Workers Office in the country under the supervision of the Department of Migrant Workers.
