MARCOS SLAMS DECADES-LONG CORRUPTION IN INFRA PROJECTS

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. could not hold back his frustration over what he described as decades-old corruption plaguing government infrastructure projects.

In the 4th episode of his “PBBM Podcast” released on Sunday, September 7, Marcos likened the long-running problem to rust deeply embedded in the system.

“It did not happen overnight. This happened over many decades. Ako nasa-shock ako… ang lalim ng kalawang, ang lalim ng bulok,” Marcos said.

He went further, lashing out at those profiting from public funds at the expense of ordinary workers.

“How can you do this to people who are working every day of their lives? Kukunin niyo pa sa kanila ‘yun, para bumili ng Rolls-Royce?” he asked.

Despite uncovering such systemic issues, Marcos insisted he has no regrets about assuming the presidency, saying it gave him the opportunity to confront problems neglected by past administrations.
