MARCOS, TEARY-EYED: FILIPINOS DON’T DESERVE FLOOD CONTROL CORRUPTION

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed deep disappointment over the controversies surrounding the government’s flood control projects.

In the teaser for the fourth episode of his podcast, a visibly emotional Marcos appeared “teary-eyed” as he lamented the corruption, saying ordinary Filipinos who work hard and live honestly do not deserve this kind of betrayal from government projects.

“I see people having a hard time. And they don’t deserve it. Mabuti mga kung masamang tao ‘yan. Dapat parusahan. Hindi naman eh,” Marcos said in the teaser uploaded on his official Facebook page.

He added: “Walang ginawa ‘yan kundi magtrabaho, kundi mahalin ang pamilya. Ba’t mo paparusahan? Para magpayaman ka? That makes no sense to me.”

The President vowed that the investigation will continue into contractors who pocketed billions from the government’s flood control projects—some of which turned out to be defective or, worse, never existed at all.
