President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is reportedly aware of the controversies surrounding Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) President and General Manager Jose Arnulfo “Wick” Veloso and is prepared to carefully study the allegations before deciding on the next steps.
According to Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Atty. Claire Castro, the President expects integrity and accountability from the heads of all government agencies but will not rush to judgment without due assessment.
Castro stressed that the complaints against Veloso — including accusations of gross mismanagement and non-compliant investments that allegedly led to ₱8.8 billion in losses — are being taken very seriously by the Palace.
When asked whether the President had been informed about the calls for Veloso to resign, Castro confirmed: “Opo, alam niya na po.”
Malacañang has assured that updates will be provided once the President has completed his review of the matter.
