MARCOS TO STAY NEUTRAL IN VP SARA’S IMPEACHMENT — PALACE

Malacañang said Wednesday that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will not interfere in the ongoing impeachment proceedings against Vice President Sara Duterte, after the House justice committee found two complaints against her sufficient in form.

Palace officials stressed that the President’s position is to allow the process to run its course in accordance with the Constitution.

On Monday, the House Committee on Justice ruled that two of the complaints were sufficient in form, allowing the proceedings to move to the next stage of deliberations.
