President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s trust rating fell to -3%, while Vice President Sara Duterte’s score increased by six points from September, according to a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey conducted amid investigations into alleged anomalous flood control projects.
The SWS survey, commissioned by Stratbase Consultancy and conducted from November 24 to 30, showed Marcos’ trust rating dropping by 10 points from +7% in September.
His latest score is close to levels recorded during the March to May election period, following Vice President Duterte’s impeachment and the detention of former President Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Historical SWS data indicated that Marcos hit his lowest trust rating in April at -4%, before rebounding to +18% in June.
The latest survey was carried out less than two weeks after former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co linked the president to an alleged ₱100 billion insertion in the proposed 2025 national budget.
Regionally, Marcos registered negative trust ratings in Metro Manila (-8%), Visayas (-7%), and Mindanao (-37%). His score in Balance Luzon stood at +18%, four points lower than in September.
In contrast, Vice President Duterte’s trust rating rose to +31% from +25%. She posted her strongest numbers in Mindanao at +74%, followed by Visayas at +43%.
Her ratings in Balance Luzon also increased by eight points, although her trust score in Metro Manila declined by four points.
SWS said the survey covered 1,200 respondents nationwide, with a ±3% margin of error.
