President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. urged Filipinos to prioritize health and safety while celebrating Christmas, reminding the public to be cautious amid the holiday festivities.
In a vlog released on Tuesday, December 23, Marcos advised moderation in food consumption, noting the rise in heart-related cases during the season.
“Sa pagkain, yung sakto lang po. Alam ninyo naman mataas ang mga kaso ng heart attack ngayong panahon dahil napaparami po ang kain natin ng taba,” he said.
He also reminded motorists to drive carefully as people travel for holiday gatherings.
The President further discouraged the use of firecrackers and fireworks, encouraging safer alternatives such as toy trumpets and other noise-making items to welcome the New Year.
Marcos ended his message by wishing Filipinos a joyful and peaceful Christmas with their families and loved ones.
