MARCOS VOWS TO EXPAND HOUSING PROGRAMS FOR EVERY FILIPINO FAMILY

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. assured the public that his administration will further expand housing programs to provide safe, decent, and affordable homes for every Filipino family.

Speaking at the National Housing Expo 2025 on Thursday, October 23, the President acknowledged the persistent struggles of many Filipinos to secure permanent shelter.

He stressed that the government continues to broaden its housing initiatives and streamline processes to speed up the delivery of homes to deserving beneficiaries.

Marcos also lauded the accomplishments of various housing programs, made possible through collaboration between the government, private sector, and housing agencies.

He highlighted the Greenlane Program, which promotes climate-resilient housing designed to withstand changing weather conditions.

Marcos recognized the Pag-IBIG Fund as a trusted partner in the country’s housing efforts, noting that over 57,000 members have been able to move into their own homes this year alone.

He also reported that the agency released nearly ₱75 billion in cash loans, benefiting almost three million members who needed immediate financial assistance.

Under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program, more Filipinos—including overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and 4Ps beneficiaries—have gained access to affordable housing assistance.

In celebration of National Shelter Month, the government is also set to distribute Notices of Approval and Certificates of Entitlement to families from Los Baños, Laguna; Lucena City; Iloilo City; and Caloocan City, through a Presidential Proclamation.

Ending his speech on a hopeful note, Marcos emphasized that with strong government support, every Filipino dream of owning a home can become a reality.
