Malacañang on Tuesday said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is satisfied with the House of Representatives’ dismissal of two impeachment complaints against him, calling the process fair and grounded in truth.
Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos welcomed the plenary vote, in which 284 lawmakers supported the dismissal.
The complaints, filed by lawyer Andre de Jesus and the Makabayan bloc, were initially deemed sufficient in form but later dismissed by the House Committee on Justice for lack of substantive grounds.
Marcos had earlier described them as baseless distractions.
