Electricity distribution company Meralco brought festive cheer with its “Maliwanag ang Pasko” lighting initiative, spreading joy, hope, and togetherness this holiday season.
This year, Meralco illuminated three key locations to provide spaces where families and friends can relive Filipino Christmas traditions.
“Our Liwanag Park stands as a simple gift to the public. A place where anyone can feel Christmas with their loved ones, and a reminder that light is meant to be shared and part of Meralco’s job is giving light to our people,” Meralco Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Manny V. Pangilinan said.
With the theme “A Brighter Christmas for All,” the initiative emphasizes making the season’s warmth and positivity accessible to every Filipino.
Ceremonial lighting events were held in Intramuros, Manila, and Pasig City, while the One Meralco Foundation also lit the façade and church grounds of the Metropolitan Cathedral of San Sebastian in Lipa, Batangas.
The Liwanag Park at Meralco Operating Center along Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City, stood out this year with a 3D mapping light design projected on the iconic Lopez Building via a state-of-the-art Panasonic projector.
