Senator Robin Padilla confirmed Thursday that minority senators in the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee are unlikely to sign the partial committee report on flood control anomalies, saying they have prepared their own version instead.
Padilla noted that the committee report’s language was revised to state “to be charged” for senators implicated in the issue, but the minority bloc intends to endorse its separate findings.
“Yun ang sabi ng aming minority floor leader [Senator Alan Peter Cayetano]. Meron naman kaming sa amin, na gusto mong pumirma edi pumirma ka, pero ako susunod ako kay Alan,” Padilla told reporters.
Earlier, the minority bloc led by Senate Deputy Minority Leader Rodante Marcoleta and Senator Imee Marcos released their own report on the flood control investigation.
Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III dismissed the minority’s version as a media or PR report, stressing that the committee has not yet officially released any findings.
