Malacañang has dismissed online reports alleging that a convoy involving a “presidential son” was harassed along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).
Communications Secretary Dave Gomez clarified that no such incident took place.
“No such incident involving any presidential son,” Gomez said in a message to reporters late Saturday.
The claims stemmed from an online post alleging that a three-vehicle motorcade blocked the car of a presidential son, with around 15 men stepping out of vehicles reportedly registered in Bulacan. One individual was allegedly carrying a firearm.
The Palace maintained that no confrontation occurred.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos have three sons: Joseph Simon, William Vincent, and Sandro Marcos, who currently serves as Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative and House Majority Leader.
Authorities have yet to release additional details on the matter.
