PALACE HITS BACK AT IMEE’S APOLOGY TO LATE FATHER

Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro responded to Senator Imee Marcos’ apology to her late father, former President and dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr., over her strained relationship with her brother, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The senator had earlier released a video on Holy Monday, admitting she had failed to “watch over” her sibling.

Castro, however, countered on Tuesday that the President lives a disciplined and respectable life, while implying that it was the senator who lacked guidance.

She further emphasized the President’s character:

Castro added:

“So, sino po kaya ba ang naging pasaway? Sino po kaya ang dapat binantayan?”

The Palace official also suggested that Senator Marcos should instead apologize for allegedly maligning the President in public.
