PALACE HITS BACK AT VP SARA OVER IMPEACH REMARKS

Malacañang on Friday rebuked Vice President Sara Duterte after she suggested that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. may have committed impeachable offenses, telling her to prioritize her own legal concerns.

Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro dismissed Duterte’s remarks in a brief but pointed response.

“Unahin niya po muna iyong mga kaso niya bago niya tingnan ang kaso ng iba.”

Duterte had earlier questioned the legality of the 2026 national budget signed by Marcos, alleging it contained “blank pages” and questionable insertions.

She also raised the possibility that declining to answer questions on competence or alleged drug use could be grounds for impeachment.

Castro pushed back further, making a reference to former President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Unahin niya po ang sarili niya at siguro mas maganda itanong niya iyan sa kaniyang ama.”

The House of Representatives had previously dismissed two impeachment complaints against Marcos. Meanwhile, Duterte herself is facing impeachment cases.
