PALACE: NO DISCUSSIONS ON CHARTER CHANGE

Malacañang on Monday clarified that proposals regarding Charter Change are not receiving attention within the Palace.

Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said there have been no discussions on the matter.

She added that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. would only consider Charter Change once the contents of the proposals are formally presented to him.

Castro also declined to comment on whether Marcos would support Charter Change in case of a plebiscite.

“Depende po sa nilalaman ng charter change. Sa ngayon po, muli, wala pong napag-uusapan tungkol diyan,” she said.

Aside from the proposed Anti-Political Dynasty bill, lawmakers have also been pushing for Charter Change measures.
