PBBM APPOINTS CARETAKERS DURING US TRIP

Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, Education Secretary Sonny Angara, and Agrarian Reform Secretary Conrado Estrella III will serve as the Philippines’ caretakers while President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is on a work visit to the United States.

The announcement was made Sunday by Communications Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.

Marcos departed earlier in the day and is expected to remain in the US until Wednesday, March 11.

Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary and spokesperson Angelica Escalona said the President’s New York trip will include high-level United Nations meetings, where he will provide a regional perspective, urging restraint and respect for international law and the UN Charter amid ongoing global conflicts.
