President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has signed Proclamation No. 1206, authorizing the expansion of the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) II Special Economic Zone in Sto. Tomas City, Batangas.
The proclamation covers four parcels of land totaling 71,982 square meters in Barangay San Rafael, following the recommendation of the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) board of directors.
FPIP, a joint venture between the Lopez family’s First Philippine Holdings Corporation and Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation, is one of the country’s major industrial hubs.
The expansion is expected to boost investment opportunities and strengthen Batangas’ role as a manufacturing and industrial center.
