PBBM CALLS FOR SERVICE, COMPASSION THIS HOLY THURSDAY

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. marked Holy Thursday with a message urging Filipinos to embrace service and compassion as the true foundation of leadership.

In his April 2 statement, Marcos highlighted the significance of the solemn observance, saying it serves as a reminder that genuine leadership begins with caring for others and placing their needs above one’s own.

“On this Holy Thursday, we are reminded that leadership begins with service. Caring for others and putting their needs before our own,” he said.

Marcos encouraged families to practice kindness and selflessness not only during Holy Week but in their daily lives. He called on the faithful to engage in prayer, confession, and acts of renewal as part of their spiritual journey.

He also emphasized the importance of reflection, healing, and unity during the season, noting that these values can help strengthen both personal faith and community ties.

“May we carry this spirit with us in all that we do. A blessed and meaningful Holy Thursday to all,” the President said as he extended his greetings to Filipinos across the country.
