As livelihood support for Sama Bajau fisherfolk, President Bongbong Marcos personally distributed boats and other fishing equipment to members of the Maasin Fisherfolk Association along the coast of Sinunuc, Zamboanga City.

According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the Sama Bajau community is known for its deep connection to the sea, with fishing serving as their primary source of income.
Under the administration’s “Handog ng Pangulo” program, the government aims to strengthen their capabilities and help increase the income of families in the area.
Malacañang stated that this initiative is part of the administration’s continuing support for the fishing sector and communities that rely heavily on marine resources.
