President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday led the inauguration of a new off-ramp at the NAIA Expressway (NAIAX) Terminal 3, a 320-meter road project designed to improve access to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and ease traffic congestion along Andrews Avenue in Pasay City.
During the inspection, Marcos highlighted the project’s expected benefits for motorists and travelers, particularly in reducing travel time.

“Around one-half hour ang matitipid ng ating mga commuters, ng ating mga travelers.”
The opening of the new exit ramp forms part of the government’s broader preparations for the anticipated influx of passengers during the Holy Week break.
“At ito ay isang bahagi lamang (ng) paghahanda sa Holy Week.”
The NAIAX is operated by Skyway Operations and Maintenance Corporation under SMC Infrastructure, a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation, which holds a 25-year concession for the expressway.
Business tycoon Ramon Ang, President and CEO of the conglomerate, joined the President during the inspection.

Marcos also announced upcoming infrastructure developments aimed at improving connectivity across key transport corridors. These include a planned connector linking the Manila-Cavite Expressway to C5, which would allow uninterrupted expressway travel.
Additional road openings in Central Luzon are also expected, including routes leading to Cabanatuan, to help ease travel congestion.
“At mabubuksan na rin ‘yung… papuntang Cabanatuan… para (mabigyan ng) relief ang mga travelers.”
With traffic volume projected to rise during Holy Week, the administration is accelerating infrastructure initiatives to enhance mobility and reduce congestion in major urban routes.
