President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. declined to directly address the allegations made by former Ako Bicol Partylist Representative Zaldy Co, who recently accused him of involvement in alleged budget insertions.
Asked by reporters on Saturday, November 15, Marcos said he had no intention of engaging Co’s claims.
“If you want to talk about the storm, we’ll talk about that. I don’t want to even dignify what he’s saying,” he said.
Co earlier broke his silence through videos posted on Facebook, directly naming Marcos as being behind a supposed ₱100-billion insertion in the 2025 budget.
“The following day, sinabi ni Sec. Mina, approved na si Presidente BBM sa lahat ng binawasan na ahensya. Masaya na ang Pangulo dahil naipasok ang 100 billion [pesos] insertion,” Co claimed.
Co also insisted he did not receive any money from the alleged transactions.
“Wala pong perang napunta sa akin. Lahat po ng insertion [ay] napunta sa ating Pangulo at Speaker Martin Romualdez,” he said.
