PBBM, VP SARA SEE DECLINE IN TRUST AND PERFORMANCE RATINGS — OCTA

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte both saw a drop in their trust and performance ratings for the third quarter of 2025, according to the latest OCTA Research Tugon ng Masa Survey.

Marcos’ trust rating fell by seven points — from 64% in July to 57% — while his performance rating dropped by eight points, from 62% to 54% this quarter. Despite the decline, OCTA noted that he still maintains majority trust and approval among Filipinos.

The President received his highest trust levels in Luzon (67%), followed by the National Capital Region (55%), while Mindanao recorded the biggest increase in distrust at 25%.

“Even with the observed declines, President Marcos Jr. continues to enjoy majority trust and approval among Filipinos, maintaining both ratings above the 50% mark,” OCTA Research said.

Meanwhile, Vice President Sara Duterte’s ratings also slightly decreased. Her trust rating dipped by three points — from 54% in July to 51% — while her performance rating inched down from 50% to 49%. Her dissatisfaction rating remained steady at 26%.

Duterte continued to receive her strongest trust in Mindanao (84%), followed by the Visayas (63%), while distrust rose slightly to 24% nationwide.

OCTA noted, “In contrast, Vice President Duterte-Carpio’s trust rating remains within majority levels, but her performance rating slipped slightly below the majority.”

The survey was conducted from September 30 to October 4, 2025, through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 respondents across the country.
