The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) has announced plans to file a formal complaint with the Department of Justice (DOJ) against individuals allegedly spreading false information regarding the health of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr..
Acting Communications Secretary Dave Gomez confirmed on Wednesday, April 8, that the office is currently in the process of gathering evidence and is aiming to submit the complaint next week.
“‘Yung nagpapakalat on the health of PBBM, we’re collecting na all pieces of evidence and will initiate a complaint with the DOJ hopefully next week,” Gomez stated.
Malacañang, the official residence and office of the President, reiterated that Marcos remains in good health. Officials also clarified that his previous condition, diverticulitis, no longer affects him or interferes with his daily responsibilities.
