The Philippine Embassy in New Zealand issued a warning about a rise in scam websites pretending to be official facilitators of the Philippine eTravel Declaration Form.
On its Facebook page, the embassy said these scam sites reportedly charge fees and collect personal information from those filling out the form. The embassy stressed that there is no charge for completing the form, and that personal information obtained from victims could be used for other illegal activities.
The embassy reminded travelers to New Zealand to only use the official Philippine eTravel Declaration Form website at https://etravel.gov.ph/, noting that it is free of charge.
For guidance on completing the form, travelers can watch the official video tutorial available on the embassy’s Facebook page. The embassy also urged everyone to stay vigilant and cautious against online scammers to avoid becoming victims.
